Saco Canoe Rental Company will be offering shuttle service from Fiddlehead Campground. Service is available for registered Fiddlehead Campers only. If you are not staying at Fiddlehead there is Free Camping along the sandy shores along the Saco River. Fiddlehead Campground is 3 miles of river frontage just past Canal Bridge.
Fiddlehead Campground
Fiddlehead Campground in Fryeburg, Maine offers some of the best Canoe/Camping in New England. Fiddlehead Campground is the perfect base for a multi-day excursion on the Saco River. Fiddlehead Campground is a primitive campground that is 3 miles along the banks of the Saco River. "Primitive" means you get a large site with a picnic table and a nearby privy, to go with the great scenery and that "away from it all" feeling. You carry in your water and other supplies. Our week-end clients tend toward the younger, party-on-the-beach crowd. From Sunday to Thursday, the Saco River is much quieter - an ideal time for family camping.

Saco Canoe Rental Company Trips from Fiddlehead Campground.
We will pick your group up at Fiddlehead Store.
Trip 1 Two day 10 mile canoe outing starting at Swan’s Falls and ending at Walker’s Bridge.
Day one is a 4 mile paddle back to Fiddlehead Campground. Day two would be a 6 mile paddle to Walker’s Bridge
Trip 2 Two day 14 mile canoe outing starting at Swan’s Fall’s and ending at Lovewell Pond. This is a 14 mile two day trip.
Day one is a 4 mile float/paddle back to Fiddlehead Campground. Day two would be a 10 mile paddle to Lovewell Pond.

Trip 1. Four mile paddle from Swan’s Falls to Fiddlehead
Trip 2 Seven mile trip starting at Fiddlehead and Ending at Walker’s Bridge
All rentals include life vest and shuttle.
Super Saver Weekend Trip
Two Day Canoe rental Friday and Saturday.
Swan’s Fall’s to Walker’s Bridge.
We will pick your group at Fiddlehead Campground Friday for a 4 mile canoe trip back to your campsite. Saturday you would paddle 7 miles to Walker’s Bridge where we would shuttle your group back to Fiddlehead Campground.
$75 per canoe
All above trips do not include camping at Fiddlehead Campground. Individuals must make individual reservations at Fiddlehead. Saco Canoe Rental Company has no affiliation with Fiddlehead Campground. |
